We have updated our terms and conditions. To be clear with our player base the changes concern PART 2 in the terms and conditions and additions to our analytics providers to include Unity and Advertising partners to include GADSME.

The main changes are that, in order to save on our increasing server costs, we will now delete new accounts that DO NOT earn 5 Cadet Championship points within 30 days, and DO NOT make it out of Cadets within two months. Accounts who have purchased Virtual Currency or Race Pass will not be subject to this criteria.

Beginning September 20 (EST), the  free-to-enter TKM Continental Cup on Street Kart Racing will test mobile gaming racers with daily qualifiers through October 7. Racers can choose one of three tracks for qualifiers, with each track coming with a Racing Prodigy TKM kart optimized for that specific track. The three tracks are Todd Road (Melbourne, Australia), PF International (England), and Wackersdorf (Germany), and all will be featured in the tournament's Main Event stages. The finals of the TKM Continental Cup will commence on October 12. The winner will receive a  Prodigy Pass™ - the “golden ticket” to an all-expense paid trip to compete in Radical SR1 race cars at Prodigy Week in Atlanta on Oct. 30-Nov. 1 and the opportunity to earn a paid racing contract.

The PRL’s first tournament on Street Kart Racing saw tens of thousands of participants compete for the Prodigy Pass that ultimately went to Laurens Beerten of Belgium.

RACING PRODIGY ANNOUNCES PARTNERSHIP WITH STREET KART RACING
IN OUR FIRST EVER ESPORTS TOURNAMENT

Here’s your chance to represent TEAM SK at Atlanta Motorsport Park racing the 140 mph (225 kph) Radical SR1 as we take on the best sim racers from PC and Console.

Street Kart Racing is delighted to announce a new partnership with Racing Prodigy, a groundbreaking sports, entertainment, and media property, to help sim racers make their real-world motorsports dreams a reality through Racing Prodigy’s new Prodigy Racing League (PRL), the world’s first e2Real sports league. Top performers in the series, as well as numerous other PRL events through the rest of the year, will earn the opportunity to compete in Radical SR1s in the inaugural Prodigy Week at Atlanta Motorsports Park in November 2023.

“At Racing Prodigy, we are lowering the financial barriers to enter motorsports to the same level of traditional sports. Gamers just need a console, mobile device, or PC with a wheel and pedals to participate in esports tournaments, which is how we open the sport we love from the few to the many,” Racing Prodigy CEO David Cook said in a release. “The PRL is the new home for racers of all backgrounds and abilities, where they can chase their motorsports dreams from the screen to the track. We believe everyone should have an opportunity to participate in motorsports, and today is a momentous step forward.”

Your first step on the e2Real ladder begins with the Prodigy Racing League (PRL) X30 Competition. On July 2, 2023, the first-ever global mobile esports tournament in the PRL kicks off. Using the Street Kart Racing platform, competitors will have the chance to showcase their talent at qualifying events at leading European Kart Track, Pro-kart Raceland in Wackersdorf in Germany.

Full details of the event will be announced during June.

Prepare for intense competition with hard, close, racing the coveted Prodigy Pass. This pass grants entry to Prodigy Week in November, where you’ll learn, train, and compete in our real-world racing event. OUR EPIC KART WARS EVENT IS BACK. WHICH BRAND WILL YOU CHOOSE?

This year’s events are all X-Tier so everyone can enter.

As with all kart wars events the top 20 with each kart brands are rewarded from each event.

So, in addition to the Aces awarded from each event position, there are also rewards for where you finish with each brand in each event.

There are four events. Sprint. Endurance. Classic and PRJ Race Pass.

ACES SPRINT

Adria. X-Tier. TKM Karts only

Parolin vs Sera vs TKM Veloce

Top 10 are awarded bonus Aces depending on where they finish. 11-20 for each brand are all awarded 300 Aces.

ACES ENDURO

No entry fee.

Strategy will be involved and you'll need to decide between lighter tank and 95 fuel or heavier tank and 98 fuel, as well as looking at fuel burn rates of engines, exhausts etc.

Tyre choice will be critical. Are you faster on the medium or the hard?

Bonus Aces are awarded for the top 10 in the Enduro with each brand.

2. Overall positions reward Aces in the normal way for finish position. So, if 1,000 Aces is for the RM win, 2nd is 950 etc.

3. 5,000 Bonus Aces to the top player racing for each brand down to 10th place with 500 Aces in PRJ

4. You can swap engine at any time, but only your fastest time will count.
   
   To be clear:
   If you set a time of 2:20.1 with the Rosberg but then chose CRG and went to 2:20 you would be then only looking down the leaderboard to see which other racers were racing with the CRG. You wouldn't worry so much about your ranking against RRA racers.
   
   Strategy Ideas:
   1. Check with brands are least popular and race with those.
   2. Gradually get faster, judging when to log your fastest times throughout the week - see which karts others are using and where you might rank against them.
   3. Only race with a slower kart - ignoring the overall time/position and try and rank in the Top 10

#1 DAILY ACES RACE MEET IMPROVEMENTS

From 15 March 23, Daily Aces Race Meets won't require SS or premium tyres BUT the minimum Aces has now been lowered to 5 Aces with the Maximum remaining the same.

#2 CHAMPIONSHIP POINTS CURVES IN TKM/X30
We’ve made it easier for mid/lower order players to be competitive meaning a smaller improvement in your time will bring a bigger reward in each race meet. Its worth having a 2nd run.

#3 SPONSORSHIP

REMEMBER DO NOT QUIT RACES. THIS IMPACTS YOUR RACE FORM, REMOVES YOUR CHANCES OF DEALS AND POSITIONS YOU AT THE BACK OF THE GRID.

1. Brand Loyalty - use a brands products e.g. LeCont or SK tyres to get offers.

You know how this works. You swap race teams and the one you were with is upset (if you're any good). Of course, if you're losing, well they might not care less...

EPOCH 3 SPONSORSHIP CHANGES. A MUST READ!

We're making some changes to sponsorship for EPOCH 3, and the game design in general.

Here's what to expect:

Sponsorship Deals

Long Term Sponsorship deals have been removed in the short/medium term.

There are now 5 main types of sponsorship deals:

1. Tyres
2. Fuel

3. SKD - small, quick deals.

4. Performance

5. Brand Loyal Deals

All deals offer SKD and supplement the basic running. They are designed to top up your winnings, and are needed to make SKD progress in each tier. In short, you want sponsorship to boost your finances as while Race Meets now offer great champ points differential between you and your rivals to get your into the big Aces finals, the SKD payouts are less in each Race Meet.

Sponsorship will be important to your success.

Tyres

Tyre brands will offer you deals if you can get them. Earn them by using the tyres you want to be offered and win heats. With enough wins and 2nd places you'll be offered deals. These deals will offer discounts on tyres against the normal price. When you get a chance, take them and stock up. You'll need decent form to be offered these deals.

There are 3 tyre deals in X30 and TKM - Cools, Warms and Hots. In PRJ the deals are LeCont and SK, LO, LP.

Take your pick but don't offend the brand by rejecting them - it may take a bit longer before you're offered another one. These brand managers can be funny when rejected.

Fuel

Like with tyres, Figo loves players who use their performance fuels and win. More heat wins, the more chance of a deal and the discounts are good!

SKD

These short, quick, deals are frequently offered. If you haven't got a sponsor these 20-30 minutes boosters can help a lot, especially at the start of a session. Often they don't worry about being rejected in favour of a bigger brand... you know, they understand how it works.

Performance

One or two brands are state-of-the-art and offer a performance suit, and massive payouts. Keep an eye out when these deals come up as they are very rare.

Often they'll need you to beat rivals to be interested, so racing head to head via the Invite Friends system will give a MUCH MUCH greater chance to get these deals. hint hint, nudge nudge.

Players who have logged in with Facebook and beat people they know in real life have a 2X chance of these deals, if they beat their friends of course!


Brand Loyal Deals

As with all things in life, if you support someone, they support you back. This now includes kart brands. Different kart brands offer different deals. Some, long duration, smaller SKD boosts but they can last a few hours. Others, 30 minute very high value deals of up to 240 SKD per heat win. No pressure then!

However if you swap brands frequently and race with different karts it is unlikely you'll get these deals regularly and it may take 4/5 days to build up.

Kart brands are EXTREMELY sensitive to disloyalty. When you're in a deal and something better comes along, you need to really think about taking it or not. The don't forget quickly.

In future this will include SK Race Pass members who may get these kind of Brand Loyal deals from the SK team. We'll let you know when these are ready.

We're extremely sensitive too, especially to jokes about Ross' hair styling regime, which by the way does take a full make up and hair team to prep before each video is produced. The team, lead by, Jessica S. Hitt is awesome and we're very grateful to have her.

To REACH a final instead of it being a percentage you'll have to get X amount of minimum points each week.

Note: AI will removed from leaderboards so you are in direct competition with people around you, and thus the B Final is a good result for mid-tier players or those in their early seasons.

In Epoch 3 we've moved Aces from the TKM A Final to the X30 and PRJ finals so A Final in X30 and PRJ will now offer a more than TKM.

Yes, you’ll be featuring on leaderboards against other humans all the time having to beat the racer above you to make progress. This will make loading of leaderboards faster and improve game speed, slow loading and disconnects.

NEW CHAMPIONSHIP POINTS PER EVENT
By removing the AI in the leaderboard requires a new championship points offering.

REMOVAL OF MULTIPLAYER EVENTS

We’re removing scheduled multiplayer events in all tiers while we bring a brand new multiplayer system online during 2023.

SPONSORSHIP

A new and updated SPONSORS system. All tiers will now have more short term deals:
Accept them or don’t is up to you.
Get sponsors for cheaper tyre deals, cheaper fuel deals, energy drinks or earn bonus currency from brands you’re loyal to….

KART UPDATES

ALL Karts will have a small grip reduction across tiers and the ‘feel of karts’ to return.
New regulations in ‘real life’ PRJ (OKJ) result in a weight penalty of 5kgs to all karts since they now have more power than 5 years ago.
We don’t intend to replicate this, however we do intend to add a small amount of weight per kart which we will detail before release.

CLASSIC KARTS REMOVED
Karts older than 2017 will now be removed from sale in the game in all tiers and will no longer be eligible to take part in championship events. These are older karts that have been in the game since Day 1. They are often out of date and not up to modern regulations.

They will however be eligible for a new Classic Kart Series which will be X-Tier events and run regularly but not weekly.

CLASSIC KART EVENTS

We’re setting up Classic Kart Events for old school karts. This will open during 2023.

RACE PASS CLASSIC SERIES

We’ll be adding an RP classic series and the opportunity to own and collect classic karts via Race Pass. This will open during 2023.

PRJ
Our focus is on new variety in PRJ, so we’re changing up the racing format.
We want to make it more fun, more accessible but keep the pure nature of the challenge that PRJ offers.
Shorter meets allow for more runs for new-comers, and a reduced time requirement for leading players.

Here’s the highlights:
- New championship format with shorter length race meets and two extended meets.

• Sponsorships - short terms deals to offer more regular value
  - No racing Daily Ace Race Meets for Tyres

• Tracks - Miami will return as an A-final in the short form format

• More Championship Points Available per Race Meet

• Finals will be more meaningful than in EPOCH 2 - but overall championship position will be more rewarding

  - PRJ Engines - many of these engines are unused by players - we want to offer real variety so there will be some adjustments.

NEW EU TAXES AFFECTING THE APP STORE

Hi guys, just a quick word for all of those in the EU.

The EU has imposed a VAT and Corporation Tax (Digital tax) on Apple Products which was implemented on 5th October. As a result of the EU changes Apple has been forced to increase the prices of every in-app purchase and even the download price of our App.

This will affect every single App you have on the store and is a price change that is totally beyond our control. As a result the 5,000 Aces pack which is around £34 in the UK and $38 in the US is E48.... more than 10 euros higher than it was.

A 700 Aces pack has moved from under 9 euros to 11 euros.

We aren't able to change the price of the packs or the amount of Aces available by territory because of the way Apple do things so we have no way to adjust this.

We're really really sorry this is the case and are trying to see if there are other things we can do for the EU players to help. We don't have a good solution at the moment but are working on this in the background and will hope you keep supporting the game while we seek a solution.

Ultimately this is a lose-lose. We see no financial benefit through what comes back to us. You have a more expensive product and we’re likely to sell less. The only gainers are the EU and EU governments.

Please keep supporting the game in any way you can while we work out how to help EU customers.

It will massively impact us, but we know it will impact you too.

The team wanted to thank you all for your patience with Race Pass which is almost ready for release. While we’ll do a video for you soon, we wanted to give you some early info as Race Pass is a massive game update.

RACE PASS

Race Pass is a monthly subscription that will cost around $5 per month (depending on the territory and Apple charges).

It will provide some major benefits and is designed as a ‘thank you’ to everyone who has supported the game. The funds from Race Pass will be put into developing the game further and faster and adding more content. The more people who purchase RP the more we can do.

KARTS + ENGINES

All drivers will race in the Parolin Stock Kart. You will need a Stock Engine in PRJ, a standard new X30 engine in X30 and a new BT82 in TKM. These engines are supplied with the karts. DO NOT CHANGE YOUR ENGINE AS YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ENTER THE EVENT.

Note: These karts aren’t recommended or designed to be used in the normal championship events, although you can run them. They are less durable than most of the other karts available.

TYRES

IN PRJ. You can ONLY use the LeCont LO tyres.

In X30 and TKM you can only use the SS warms. There will be tyres offered after each run.

ENTRY FEE
This event is designed as a community event. As such we are not charging an entry fee for the event and giving away a free kart.

We ask for your continued support via in-app purchase to allow us to put these kind of free events on.

REWARDS

ACES will be offered on entry to each event and allow for multiple runs, however, you can run as many times as you wish.

SCORING

Since all players have the same karts, tyres and engines, the scoring is just based on total time from each round. We imagine it will be very close between the racers. After 4 rounds the total time will have been added up.

A note from the developers

Hi guys,

It's been a while since we did one of these for you, and about time!

Firstly Duncan and I wanted to say thank you to you all for all your support over the last 3 years since the game has been out and to a bunch of Beta Testers (nearly 5,000 of you) who helped support and develop the game. Without you all this wouldn't be possible.

However, we feel it is time to take SK to the next level.

Over the next few months you're going to see big changes in SK, from new features, a massive number of new players, partnerships with brands, new competitions and live events, and new race formats, from knockout events, to limited tyre events, to one-brand series and new ways karts, engines, apparel and parts will unlock for ltd edition items.

This has taken months in thinking which we've been doing while working on a brand new Cadets (virtually everything is new from the physics to the AI to the flow of the game) which we'll continue to develop further to retain players better in the early stages.

To do all these upcoming changes, we need your continued support please - both in terms of playing the game, but mostly signing up for Race Pass, and when we can release it a premium version of Race Pass for players like Ryan Emory, Cedric Plessis and others who have requested it. We've heard you and are working on a way to do this.

UPCOMING DEVELOPMENTS
Over the next year here's what you can expect -all with a goal of making SK more fun, exciting and giving you more people to race more of the time.

RACE PASS

Very soon (release 1.5.1 - not the next release which is 1.5) you'll have the opportunity to purchase Race Pass. It is a monthly subscription payment which we'll be offering to the first 1,000 sign ups as a discounted price - which will then stay at this price forever for you. The next 1,000 will get it at a slightly higher price and then it will go to the full price. This is as a thank you to all of you.

3. Move tiers once per week without having to be promoted or relegated

We're working on a new in-game chat system to help players communicate better in the game. It will be multiple languages and we hope build a community both here and in the game itself. We feel, long term, this is better for us all and reduces our dependence on 3rd parties. It means you'll be able to:

- Arrange Races

- Share tips

- Join the banter. You'll need to be 18+.

NEW MULTIPLAYER RACING

We're also developing a new feature which will allow you to race others just through a cross-tier lobby. No more schedule multiplayer meets. Just look at who has a lobby open and wants to race and join them to race. We'll start small, but ultimate you'll be able to race your friends, and the wider SK community regardless of your tier. Choose tracks, choose weather, choose your class and then take on others.

Simpler. More fun. And just better.

IN-GAME EVENTS

Race Pass will have its own monthly events. Restricted tyre use, with eliminator heats, a pre-final which will then determine the A and B Finals.

Race Pass Special Events will offer ACES and be over 3 weeks each. There will be Quarterly and Annual Championships to determine the best racers.


OTHER NEW EVENT LIVE FORMATS

We'll be looking at single kart formats, restricted tyres, knockout events and particularly for kart unlocks to replace Manufacturer Opens which we feel need an update.

In addition, we'll also have some new tracks, the latest new karts, and, of course, a new selection of helmets and apparel to come.

There are three goals:
1. Keep it fun for existing players and ensure you guys can keep enjoying the game going forward, and for those who have taken a break, you'll find the game exciting and fun to come back to.

2. Encourage a large number new players to sign up and make progress without feeling the game is too challenging, but just challenging enough. We've done a lot of work over the last 4 months on Cadets to help with this. The fact is we've lost 80% of new players by the end of Cadets in the current format since we dropped the price of SK. It needed to be better, and we're doing that.

3. Encourage sharing and streaming - multiplayer racing will make this so much more fun to take on your friends and stream the races. You'll be able to do this for SKD and have SKD on the line. Live events where it acts like a Q3,Q2,Q1 in F1 where players can be knocked out from an A Final to a B Final, or not even make it at all by not graduating from the heats are just some of the ways we're going to do this.

And we can adjust this. We could just have 10 players in the A-Final and the rest in the B. We could have 50% or 30%. We could have the heats eliminate 50% of the field before the the Pre-Finals. There's loads of combinations. Loads of fun.

So this is all we've been working on over the last few months. It will take time to implement.

We know the cost of living is harming people at the moment. We want to make SK fun, have longevity, and give you a community you can't get elsewhere. Thank you again for all your support and we'll shortly post an email waiting list for the Race Pass subs discount price.

Consists of FOUR Separate Events.

Each Event stands in its own right and doesn't not contribute to any championship.

ACES SPRINT

Todd Road. 10 April. Duration 1 Week.

In TKM you'll need Monaco GP7 or Parolin Monza to enter. These karts will be unlocked for purchase for the Easter period only.

In X30, KartClass vs BirelART.

In PRJ, BirelART vs Rosberg Racing

In PRJ this event has a 1,000 Aces entry fee (ONE TIME ONLY). Minimum win is 750 Aces. Maximum win is over 2,500 Aces.

In X30 500 Aces entry fee and a Maximum win over 1,500 Aces.
In TKM 500 Aces entry fee and similar multiple rewards over 1,500 Aces. Minimum win, will be a little below the 500 Aces entry.

ACES ENDURO

Salbris. 10 April. Duration 1 Week.

CRG vs Monaco GP7 in TKM. In PRJ and X30 Parolin or BirelART are your options.

No entry fee, and each heat has 3-4X standard winnings depending on the tier.

Strategy will be involved and you'll need to decide between lighter tank and 95 fuel or heavier tank and 98/100 fuel, as well as looking at fuel burn rates of engines, exhausts etc.

Tyre choice will be critical. Will SSL's make it? Are you faster on the medium or the hard?

Do you need to run on standard greens or hards? This will depend on the quality of your racing lines, driving style and more.

KART WARS. RIVALS MULTIPLAYER.

Easter Sunday and Monday. Any Kart Entry. 48 Hours.
Race Multiplayer against your friends, have some fun and race for Aces.

Portugal.

KART WARS MAIN EVENT

Whilton Mill. Easter Sunday. Duration 1 Week.

1. 3/4 Kart brands to choose from for entry.

2. Overall positions reward Aces in the normal way for finish position. So, if 1,000 Aces is for the RM win, 2nd is 950 etc.

3. 5,000 Bonus Aces to the top player racing for each brand down to 10th place with 500 Aces in PRJ, 3000, X30 and so on.

4. You can swap brand at any time, but only your fastest time will count. So if you choose CRG but then swap to Rosberg then your fastest time will count. If that is set with the Rosberg your chance to be in the top 10 for the brand competition will be against other Rosberg Racers. You can swap back and try and set a faster time with the CRG if you feel you have a higher chance of finishing in the TOP 10 CRG Racers.
   
   To be clear:
   If you set a time of 2:20.1 with the Rosberg but then chose CRG and went to 2:20 you would be then only looking down the leaderboard to see which other racers were racing with the CRG. You wouldn't worry so much about your ranking against RRA racers.
   
   Strategy Ideas:
   1. Check with brands are least popular and race with those.
   2. Gradually get faster, judging when to log your fastest times throughout the week - see which karts others are using and where you might rank against them.
   3. Only race with a slower kart - ignoring the overall time/position and try and rank in the Top 10
   
   

5. There will be 50 Winners in each class. 3 or 4 players per tier will win between 2,000 and 5,000 Aces.

This is our 2nd annual Euro Winter Cup and will run in all three tiers: PRJ, X30 and TKM.
This is intended to be a full test of abilities, set ups and skill. 

There will be two competitions. The Main Event and a Fastest Flying Lap in Solo Mode.

(This second event was a suggestion from David Wiser when we first launched the game. So thank you David!)

EVENT FORMAT
Each event will be 2 laps, and the total cumulative time will count from all events. 

Each event will offer small Aces rewards with the major Aces prizes only at the end of the competition based on overall places.

However there will be significant rewards depending on where you finish.

IMPORTANT:

Times will be added together to create a ranking leaderboard.

If you wish to compete in a specific tier it is important you remain in that tier for all 3 weeks. In the event you do not, you will be awarded the slowest time set in the event.

OVERALL PRIZES

Times will be totalled up each week and total time will count. The overall winners will receive:

PRJ

In PRJ the top 50 players will receive prizes.

The top 5 racers will race off head-to-head in a best of 3 race final to decide the top 5 positions. We will film this!

6-10 will also race off head-to head in a best of 3 race ‘B’ final to decide positions. We will film this too!

Each player MUST record the action from their perspective or they will be awarded 5th position.

We would also ask you to record yourself racing so we can create a video with reactions, introduce yourself to camera and this will create more fun for the community and help us grow the game.

We’ll do this over Skype or similar.

Tracks will be chosen before the end of the finals event and announced.
Players will be asked to race at an appropriate time.
We’ll have a video with professional commentary.

This is because we weren’t able to do this the KartClass final last year, and we want to try again with this format. 

As this is a bigger event, the rewards will be bigger.

FASTEST FLYING LAP COMPETITION

We’ll be running fastest flying lap competition in Solo Practice.

This will be an Aces event and will consist of 2 events per week.

The events will have FIXED WEATHER.

There will be an entry fee of 5 Aces Per Run to prevent over-racing.

Each run will allow you to change setups mid-run and make adjustments. There will be 4 Flying Laps per run and one warm-up lap.

The tracks will be the same as the main competition.

IMPORTANT TKM CHANGES

DUE TO PRJ IMMINENT RELASE FOR TESTING TO FASTEST X30 PLAYERS + THOSE WHO PURCHASED IAPs WHEN WE MADE THE OFFER LAST YEAR.

Here's what we're going to do in TKM.

1. THRESHOLD TO BE PROMOTED TO X30 is dropped to 12,000 SKD from next week from 18,000 SKD.

2. CHAMPIONSHIP POINTS FROM HEATS will be increased in TKM to 15 as they were originally.

The latter will cause some controversy.

Here's why we're doing it:

1. X30 will become the new TKM with fastest players moving up to PRJ.

2. We want NEW players to be able to make faster progress by racing immediately and not having to wait for a Race Meet to end.

3. TKM should be the Rookie league, so they need to make faster progress. Yes it can be won by grinding, but if you're thinking you can win TKM, then go race X30.

4. Fast times will still be very important and matter, but you can make progress just by racing.

5. X30 will remain as it is, but if you want to avoid grinding move up to X30 - it'll be more fun for you and you'll win more because the fast players will be in PRJ.

We appreciate this is a delicate balance - but most players learn by racing, so helping them race and make progress is important to this.

If you'd like to be able to race less and compete then you should be in X30 or PRJ. PRJ will have no HEAT points awarded.

TKM & X30 KARTS

The kart in use will be the SKQ (A) kart only.

We'll all have the same kart.

If you don't own it, it will be available at a 70% discount for the rest of the month and will allow you to enter the event - either in TKM or X30.

Many people already have this kart from last year though.

In X30 we're testing a new prize format in X30.

This is as a response to feedback on the format and some complaints the mid-field never see any Aces.

Well now you can, but it's up to you to set the times.

RACE FORMAT

Overall, 5 rounds, each round AWARDS ACES. You have been informed.

OVERALL X30 PRIZE

Aces will be awarded in a WINNER + X seconds format.

So, we take the total time of the WINNER across the 5 rounds and then anyone within 1.5 seconds after the 5 rounds will be awarded 4,000 Aces, 2 seconds 3,500 Aces etc. Here's the full format:

+1.5 secs - 4,000 ACES

+ 2 secs - 3,500 ACES

+3 secs - 3,000 ACES

If you miss a round - you'll be given the slowest time of all those who competed.

To be clear - in the team event 50 players were within 15 seconds of the winner. 24 players were within 10 seconds and 17 players were within 7 seconds.

Thus a jump of 1 second per round for top 50 players would see them move up from 300 to 750 Aces at the end - PLUS the bonus Aces rewards from each individual round.

Finding those extra tenths now really matters. It's you against whoever the ultimate winner is. You don't have to beat them - but you do have to get closer!

X30 ROOKIE PRIZE

Comment on the YouTube video with your username to be considered for the Rookie Prize. This must be your 1st or 2nd season in X30. There's 5,000 on offer and the community will vote for the winner.

Hi guys, 

Here's an update on the X30 Sera '21 Event Structure. Watch the upcoming video for more details when it arrives.

Sera '21 runs in Both X30 and TKM and is different to any event we've ever done.

Yes, you can win Dave's Helmet if you're in X30.

No Laurens isn't a guaranteed winner, but of course is the guy we all want to beat, however...

In this format we're going to see the best go against the best... and who in 3 one-off races, wins.... here's how it works...

(Just a note though...you'll want to be in X30 THIS WEEK, and stay in X30 for the whole 3 weeks, to have a chance to compete for his helmet.)

X30 Format:

1. 3 Rounds at 3 Different Tracks + Final

2. Beat Dave's Time in Any of the 3 Rounds to Unlock his Helmet (we'll do it manually for you a few days later).

3. Top 50 in each round unlock the Sera KartClass Works Kart. This Kart is only available in this event, after which it will be removed from Sale.

4. You must have a SERA kart to race in the 3 Rounds. Only Sera Karts will be allowed to enter.

5. Sera KartClass Works karts will be available to be used in the Final.

6. TOTAL time from the 3 Rounds + Final will determine who goes in the HEAD TO HEAD MULTIPLAYER 'RACE OFF'.

The RACE OFF!

Ok, this is an SK First. A Multiplayer Race Off for a big Special Event.

1. The TOP 5 ONLY will qualify for the MULTIPLAYER RACE OFF

2. 3 Races. 3 Tracks. 5 Entrants. One Winner.

3. Dave Sera will announce the tracks shortly

4. Anything can happen in those multiplayer races, one mistake and you've lost a lot of points. Grids will be entirely randomised.

5. Only Finish Position Counts. Time is irrelevant. You'll earn points for your finish position, and that will determine the winner.

6. We'll use Ghost Racing because players could be from any continent and we don't want lag to be an issue - and we'll privately message the 5 finalists to sort out a suitable, convenient time to race for everyone.

7. If in any event or for any reason one of the top 5 can't make our reasonable attempts to set up a race, or for whatever reason (damaged a thumb, thrown their iPad, have a bad mobile network, or they've got a date with Taylor Swift or Kanye West) can't race, the highest next position 6th, 7th, 8th and so on will be invited to take their spot. More details to follow.

This should be a lot of fun and we'll try and record (or if possible, Live Broadcast) the 3 multiplayer races so the community can watch and join in.

David Sera will hopefully join the commentary team for the event, a suitable time dependent bearing in mind he is down under!

TKM FORMAT

There's a slightly different format in TKM.

NOTES ON THE NEW BUILD 1.3.9... WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW... (PLEASE READ!!!)

This build is OUT NOW! (and turn on tracking!!!)

Most of these changes will start on Sunday as part of the new season.

• TYRES update won't be out until SUNDAY as we need enough players to have the build in order to set this live.

• RIVALS/FACEBOOK LOGIN - you WILL LOSE all your rivals in 7 days if you don't re-confirm you're happy to be logged in with Facebook. This involves accepting Apple tracking unfortunately.

• A NEW Facebook Aces weekly event will be launched for all players who are logged in with Facebook. This is done as a thank you for everyone here who is contributing to the game and to help you with the economics to make progress especially given the new options you will have for tyres. We hope this will encourage more racing, closer times, and progress up to X30 and PRJ.

• FUEL - there will be offers on a specific day of the week, where a variety of different offers will be in play. You'll need to watch the video after racing in the event to get the offers.

• MULTIPLAYER - This is becoming a scheduled thing rather than just certain championship events. Racing multiplayer will be rewarded with higher heat winnings, but times will be less important and each RM will have a lower reward. We appreciate not everyone will be able to run scheduled multiplayer times - this is being done to force people to join so there are more players in a confined period = more multiplayer fun. Multiplayer WON'T contribute to the championship points. If there are times that would suit better please let us know and we can look to organise them. These events will start on SUNDAY as part of the new season.

• PRJ - this is ready apart from the comms and some issues with sponsorship. We need Race Pass set up for this to work properly though. However, there isn't much to do on this front now and we've been waiting to get this release out first.

• CADETS - months of work to improve the flow here to get more players up to TKM - 80% drop out before TKM so we recognise how important this is to sustaining the tiers above - and while this doesn't impact most in the group - more competition is good for us all. We'd love feedback on this if anyone has a second device. It's still clunky but much better. A new build will follow shortly afterwards polishing this.

• ATT - I did a long post about this before and the reasons why it is important - and how we use your data. The short answers are: 1. Tracking gives you access to FB for rivalries. There's no way round this. 2. You get personalised ads. 3. We can create 'lookalike' audiences to help market to people like you to encourage them to join the game and our community. We don't like data tracking and have kept this to a minimum but simply by using FB, FB has all your data anyway! For a full explanation we've filled out the new Apple Form on the App Store to explain exactly how your data is used and where it is used. Just go to the App Store and you'll be able to read what we do with your data and how it is processed. We are very concerned about your privacy, and you can opt out of tracking at any point, simply by turning it off in settings. While we hope you won't (you'll lose all your FB rivals), the option is there. IF you do so, please message us and let us know why so we can understand if players are having an issue with something in particular and we can improve it.

• NEW TRACKS - yes, we've added a new track and new event in this release. Details to follow.

As always, this has been an epic struggle - the ATT changes affect every part of our game and our community. It threatens our very existence as a game and company. It has taken months to work out how to do it and get the right balance since our game is all based on community and interaction - and that needs your consent - in a much more explicit way than it ever has before.

We hope this is communicated in the game. We hope you understand how important you are to us and the people around you in this community. We hope you understand too the level of listening we give to you even if we don't always agree We do our best, and we're sometimes wrong. Hands up.

Regardless, this has been the biggest update we've ever done and we expect there to be bugs. Please post them in the Street Kart Racing Facebook bug group (or email beta@streetkart.me) and tag Andy or me (if urgent).

FUTURE

We've lots of content that has been produced behind the scenes which we weren't able to get in this release. From new karts, tracks, events, Race Pass, PRJ etc. Now this build is on the way we can press on with these assuming no further major issues from Apple or FB or Google or President Biden, God, The Pope, Jackie Chan, Michel Barnier, Boris Johnson, The makers of Cafe Vergnano coffee, Bialetti, The President of the FIA, The President of the CIA, The President of the CIK, The Presidents of America and their millions of peaches, and anyone else who stops us from working for you.

HOW IT WORKS:

The Kart Wars EVENTS START THIS SUNDAY 28 March 2021

in TKM & X30.

Consists of FOUR Separate Events.

Each Event stands in its own right and doesn't not contribute to any championship.

1. Kart Wars Aces Sprint - Spain Sprint Track (TKM), Hammerhead Track (X30)

2. Kart Wars Aces Enduro - Rio Long

3. Kart Wars FB Aces Event - must be logged in with FB Connect (Starts Easter Sunday)- Portugal

4. Kart Wars MAIN ACES EVENT - Starts Easter Sunday - Track TBD by comments in the YouTube video coming soon.

SPRINT

In TKM you'll need CRG or Sera Kart to enter. In X30, CRG or BirelART.

This event has a 1,000 Aces entry fee (ONE TIME ONLY). Minimum win is 750 Aces. Maximum win is over 2,500 Aces.

ENDURO

CRG or Sera in TKM or KR or Rosberg Racing Academy in X30.

No entry fee, and each heat has 3X standard winnings.

Strategy will be involved and you'll need to decide between lighter tank and 95 fuel or heavier tank and 98 fuel, as well as looking at fuel burn rates of engines, exhausts etc. Tyre choice will be critical. Will SSL's make it? Do you need to run on standard greens or hards? This will depend on the quality of your racing lines, driving style and more.

FB LOGIN EVENT (not associated with FB in any way)

An event to say thanks for being part of the community. So if you want extra Aces/Tyres - please log in with FB Connect.

KART WARS MAIN EVENT

1. 5 Kart brands to choose from for entry.

2. Overall positions reward Aces in the normal way for finish position. So, if 1,000 Aces is for the RM win, 2nd is 950 etc.

3. 5,000 Bonus Aces to the top player racing for each brand down to 10th place with 500 Aces.

4. You can swap brand at any time, but only your fastest time will count. So if you choose CRG but then swap to Rosberg then your fastest time will count. If that is set with the Rosberg your chance to be in the top 10 for the brand competition will be against other Rosberg Racers. You can swap back and try and set a faster time with the CRG if you feel you have a higher chance of finishing in the TOP 10 CRG Racers.
   
   To be clear:
   If you set a time of 2:20.1 with the Rosberg but then chose CRG and went to 2:20 you would be then only looking down the leaderboard to see which other racers were racing with the CRG. You wouldn't worry so much about your ranking against RRA racers.
   
   Strategy Ideas:
   1. Check with brands are least popular and race with those.
   2. Gradually get faster, judging when to log your fastest times throughout the week - see which karts others are using and where you might rank against them.
   3. Only race with a slower kart - ignoring the overall time/position and try and rank in the Top 10
   

5. There will be 50 Winners in each class. 5 players will win 5,000 Aces.

FORMAT (TKM and X30)

3 weeks of racing in 3 events with each event at a different track. The tracks will be variations of Adria, Wackersdorf and PFI.

The winners will be those who do best in each of the 3 events. ALL events count towards your overall CUP position. So if you do badly in one, you can make it up in the other two.

You will need to enter the multiplayer events to unlock tyres, but the Final will also unlock tyres. There will be no tyres for the Pre-Final.

Round 3 - PFI - 4.01.00

Would give a total time of:

10:52:00

This will give you a rank of where your TOTAL TIME is against others.

Split seconds in each event will count.

All that matters is beating the next guy.

Kart Unlocks

In X30 the Pre-Finals will give the top 10 will have the chance to unlock a new KR3 L5 Winter Cup Special Edition kart. This kart will be only available for a limited time during the Winter Cup.

The kart can be bought for Aces for a Limited time to all those that don’t finish in the Top 10.

In TKM the Rosberg Racing Academy RRA2 will be made available for a limited time to the Top 10 in the Pre-Final only.

Prizes

We'll be offering Aces in each Event Final, Pre-final and to the top 25 overall in TKM or X30.

X30 players will be awarded 3X the ACES of TKM in the FINAL events.

We'll repeat.

SO if you want to race in X30 you need to be promoted before 7 Feb 2021.

A Level 4 Kart is required to enter the final.

Yes they ruined the 2020 real life event because of Covid, but it won’t stop us holding our own.

We’ve partnered with SKUSA to bring the ‘Virtual Las Vegas’ event to you.

This is your chance to win the X30 and TKM 2020 SK Vegas Supernats.

Win thousands of Aces and compete on a new racetrack layout, Vegas 2019.

FORMAT (TKM & X30)

You’ll need the new SK Q kart (in TKM & X30) which you can unlock in the pre-final round to then compete in the final if you don’t the kart already.

Here’s how it works:

• Racing warm ups will start on 18 November 2020

• The main event starts on 29 November until the final on 3 December 2020

• Warm up event on the Vegas 2016 track (reverse)

• One week of warm up qualifiers - 45 minute multiplayer racing on the Vegas 2016 track with 2X SKD for heat wins

• Followed by the main event week: 12 Qualifying Rounds which will off DOUBLE SKD for a heat win

• Qualifying Rounds are on at specific times and will be multiplayer. They will last just 45 minutes each.

• A single ACES Pre-Final (a last chance to unlock the required kart for the final - another Top 2o% finish)

• The Main Final - all karts will be the SKQ kart ONLY. Same karts.

• All Qualifying Rounds in week 2 will allow you to unlock tyres for the main Final with tyre offers after each race

• The Pre-Final and Main Final will NOT offer Tyres and you'll have to rely on the tyre stocks you have

If you miss the pre-final you can purchase the SK Q kart from the showroom at its usual sale price.

This is your chance to win the X30 event and design an SK Track which will feature in the game.

WHAT’S NEW IN v1.3.3?

We have several new features in this version of the game all designed to improve Multiplayer Racing.

MULTIPLAYER GHOST RACING

To improve the joy from racing your friends and others and to prevent players from being taken out by bandits or bad internet connections we’ve added Ghost Racing. We don’t intend for it to be the final solution as our preference is a nose cone time penalty or similar but for now we’ll use this.

NEW TRACK: PFI SHORT

We’ve added a brand new track, the original PFI short. Great fun, short races.

CHAMPIONSHIP FORMAT

We’ve made adjustments to the championship format to focus multiplayer racing on 1-2 events in the championship.

1. This should make multiplayer event racing easier against random people

2. If after 60 seconds there are no competitors you can race the AI by pressing Race Now

3. There is no countdown timer at the moment for this

4. Invite Rivals system has been improved

This is in for a trial period and we'll take a view after the multiplayer live event to see how we can improve this further.

WHAT’S NEW IN v1.3.1?

This is a minor update which fixes a small number of bugs in the game.

BUGS

Multiplayer Racing

There was a bug that caused a hang while loading multiplayer racing when players were racing on different wifi or 4G networks. This was very problematic and prevented players being able to play in multiplayer mode.

Black Loading Screen

The game has had an issue for a small number of players where it wouldn’t load and caused a blank screen. We’ve now made the loading system much more robust and eliminated as many possible causes as we could.

Tyre Grip Adjustment in TKM

We’ve made a very small grip adjustment to Maxxis Green and Yellow tyres reverting the grip back to the original that were there in March. The change was minor and caused by a bad import. This is now fixed and the original grip levels and tyre balance should be available for these tyres. Most players won’t notice this change as it is so small!

WHAT’S NEW IN THE APRIL 20 UPDATE?

This is a massive update with lots of things behind the scenes. Here’s a brief overview.

GAME ENGINE

Our game engine. We’ve upgraded the Unity Game Engine. This will result in improved performance.

Ultimately better graphics and will allow us to make huge improvements in future. Over 2 months development for this alone.

ROSBERG RACING ACADEMY - STAGE 2

Now Nico Rosberg and the Rosberg Racing Academy will guide you with racing lines around tracks in practice sessions. RRA will be in your ear telling you when your laps have improved and giving you a walk through of some of the more famous tracks in the game.

Turn the racing guides on or off on the race detail screen.

MULTIPLAYER RACING

We’ve made major improvements to multiplayer racing. Now the ‘INVITE RIVALS’ feature works better, with an improved invite system. You can now invite friends to race from different tiers and they can enter using ‘HIRE’ Karts. So if you’re in TKM and you have a friend in Cadets you can invite them to race and they’ll get a hire kart to race against you.

MANUFACTURER INVITATIONALS

We’ve fixed a number of bugs for these events that allowed the wrong karts to enter.

RACE PREP IMPROVEMENTS

We’ve added weather and additional details to the race prep screens to help with setup.

PUSH NOTIFICATIONS

After 5 months these are now fixed! You’ll be notified when someone wants to race you, you’ve won SKD or a you’ve been invited to a race meet.

RACING AND FITNESS

We’ve fixed a number of bugs around racing - including AI improvements. Fitness now shows decimal places to indicate changes to weight.

WHAT’S NEW IN THE DECEMBER UPDATE?

Cadet Update. We’ve made Cadets easier and faster to get through. No more missions.

STREET KART RACING 2019 FINALS

The 2019 SK FINALS start on 1st January 2020 with 3 qualification opportunities for TKM. The Finals will be the following week. Plenty of time to get your game together. Finals track will be kept a secret until it becomes available on the Race Meet Screen.

Don’t forget to enable PUSH NOTIFICATIONS to be told when your rivals move ahead of you in the final.

The Top 99 will have official ranking in the game with each player receiving their kart number for the whole of 2020.

NOVEMBER 2019 UPDATE

New Kart Track: PFI Grantham, UK

Welcome to PFI. The 2017 World Championship Kart Track, and one of Europe's premiere race tracks. Known for its under and over Litchfield Bridge and two fast straights, it is extremely technical with lots of overtaking opportunities, and sections where time can be won, or lost.

As with all UK tracks, weather plays a big part in your race strategy and planning. Here though, skill is the over-riding factor!

PFI is available in all tiers of the game.

Check out the real world track too.

XBOX and PS4 Controller Support

In this release we’ve added support for Playstation and Xbox controllers to hugely enhance your enjoyment and playing experience. Controls:

1. Left Stick - steering

2. Right Stick - look around

3. Left Trigger - brake

4. Right Trigger - accelerate

5. Y/Triangle - call a marshal

6. Options - quit

7. A/X & X/Square - navigate race prep menus

We’ve added details in the video above on how to link up the controllers but there’s a full guide in the support docs too.

RECOMMENDED SETTINGS

We’ve done lots of testing with both the PS4 DualShock Controller and the Xbox Controller and here’s our advice:

1. PS4 requires a much lower controller sensitivity than the Xbox

2. Xbox will need a higher sensitivity due to the range of travel in the left thumbstick.

3. You can adjust your setting in Race Prep using the left slider

4. If you need more lock INCREASE the sensitivity - e.g. Las Vegas has very tight corners

5. If the track is fast REDUCE the sensitivity - e.g. Bondi

6. Use Solo Practice to test on different tracks

New Karts in X30

Rosberg Racing Academy Karts, 2018 World Champion karts are available to unlock via the Rosberg Racing Academy Race Meet in X30 once per month.

Kart Republic Karts, based in Italy, they are the current World Champions. This chassis is set up for tight tracks and is available to unlock in the Kart Republic Race Meet in X30 once per month.
